We all carry something that once kept us safe. Maybe it's a habit, a wall we put up, or a way of playing small so we wouldn't get hurt. At the time it really did help, and it got us through hard seasons.
But the thing that protected us can also hold us back. When we keep gripping it long after the danger has passed, it starts keeping out what we actually want, like people, opportunities, and growth.
Letting go doesn't mean we forget what got us through. It means we thank it, set it down gently, and trust that we're stronger now. When we loosen our grip, life has room to come in with new people, new chances, and a lighter way of living.
Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness.
