As the Chinese sage Lao Tzu said 2,500 years ago, the hard and stiff will be broken, the soft and supple will prevail. Whoever is stiff and inflexible is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft and yielding is a disciple of life. When we grip too tightly, take everything too seriously, or fight every turn, we wear ourselves down. Staying open, gentle and calm lets things pass without a struggle and fall into place in their own time. Bend, don't break.
Soft Things Last Longer
Message to self The hard and stiff break. The soft and supple last.
