When We Slow Down

Message to self Pause. The truth shows up in the quiet.

Note by Sanjeevan Premkumar ·

Sometimes the clearest thing we can do is pause. Scrolling past a page, or racing through a day, we miss what's right in front of us. Slow down, and the truth has room to arrive.

In Cannabis Pharmacy, the history of cannabis as medicine stretches back thousands of years, from Emperor Shen Nung in ancient China to Egypt, Greece, India and Persia. That knowledge didn't come from rushing. It was passed down, noticed, written into the Pen-ts'ao Ching, and kept alive across cultures. The pattern only becomes clear when you stop long enough to see it.

The same is true off the page. When we pause, what matters stops hiding in the noise.

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

Slow down, and let the truth catch up.

Weekly review

Oct 25 to Oct 31

This week was about learning the balance between rest and action, recognizing when to pause and when to move forward. Taking time to slow down allowed for clearer focus on what truly matters, whether in personal relationships or professional growth. It became clear that simplicity and clarity often lead to better results than complexity and overthinking.

There was a strong emphasis on continuous learning and adapting, especially in the realm of understanding data and marketing tools. Progress came from steady effort and the willingness to adjust plans when needed. Earning new certifications and updating skills highlighted that growth is ongoing and never truly finished.

Honesty with oneself and others was a key theme, paired with the idea that facing reality openly can bring freedom and joy. Carrying burdens silently only isolates, but naming them and moving forward creates space for lightness and connection. This week showed that truth and movement together help navigate challenges with grace.
