Today I noticed how much of my stress comes from chasing the next thing: a bigger goal, a better setup, a future outcome. Each time I reach for more, I'm telling myself that what I have now isn't enough. Manifesting coach Regan Hillyer puts it simply: "when you want something, you're affirming that you don't already have it". That wanting is where the anxiety comes from. When I look at what's already here, there is more than enough. I have a roof, food, my health and people who care about me. Eckhart Tolle writes in A New Earth: "Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance". Goals still matter. The difference is where I act from. Chasing comes from lack, and being present comes from having enough.
Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.
